User:Translated ORK/sitelen pona as a syllabary for Japanese
Template:DraftSitelen pona as a syllabary for Japanese is a syllabary for Japanese based on sitelen pona. The glyphs chosen usually has their initial syllables in Toki Pona matching the reading in Japanese. It is designed to avoid featuralism as much as possible (this implies avoiding turning the writing system into an abugida) so that it can be unusually hard to decipher without knowledge of sitelen pona.
If a table cell below contains two or more glyphs, the first one is used when the kana has no diacritic.

Voiced consonants are usually formed by drawing a vertical stroke on the voiceless counterparts. Syllables starting with "p" are usually formed by drawing a horizontal stroke on those with "h". Exceptions are listed below.

- ↑ add two dots instead of vertical line
- ↑ ギ glyph is formed by simply turning the キ glyph upside down.
- ↑ ゴ has hard spikes while コ resembles a soft blob.
- ↑ To avoid confusion with "ni", ズ is written as ス with a mirrored copy below it.
- ↑ ゼ glyph is formed by simply turning the セ glyph upside down.
- ↑ Instead of adding a vertical stroke, the lower line is replaced by a square.
- ↑ タ and ダ are shaped completely different, partially because ダ appears commonly at the end of a sentence so it is shaped like a full stop.
- ↑ Since the pake glyph already has a vertical stroke in the middle, バ is written as the pini glyph instead.
- ↑ ビ can alternatively be written as wile2
- ↑ To avoid confusion with the "lete" glyph, the vertical stroke in ブ is drawn at the side of the glyph, making it resemble a rotated "powe" glyph. Similarly, プ is written with the horizontal stroke at the bottom.
- ↑ To avoid confusion with open, ポ is written as poka glyph.
- ↑ Glyphs for small kana are usually just miniatures of their regular-size versions. An exception is that small ョ is written as a miniature ijo instead of jo.
