Shidinn Gallifreyan

此后如竟没有炬火,我便是唯一的光。

Shidinn Gallifreyan is a category of writing systems for writing Shidinn based on the Gallifreyan in Doctor Who. This page lists the available writing systems in this category.

Sherman's Shidinn Gallifreyan

Sherman's Shidinn Gallifreyan is a system that maps each of the 45 Shidinn letters to a Gallifreyan letter (or digit) in Sherman's system. The consonants , , ,  are written as digits "4", "5", "7" and "15" respectively as shown below, and they cut off the lines exiting from vowel or glide letters.

"Glide" letters (,) circle the vowels , , , , , , . Other vowels must be written separately if they follow a glide.

Consonants can stack just like regular Sherman's Gallifreyan for English. However, letters derived from digits can't stack with letters that aren't derived from digits. The vowels ,,,,,, (acting as radicals) can also be written in the form of the corresponding Gallifreyan digit (, written as digit 10 and 14 respectively) and get stacked with other letters derived from digits, as long as there is no ambiguity. Letters derived from digits will not let lines exiting from other letters pass through.

A consonant should be stacked with the immediately-following glide or vowel letter IF AND ONLY IF they belong to the same syllable.[需引证] Therefore, in the word , the letter "" can't be stacked with "", while "" should be stacked with "" circling "".

This writing system is designed by Template:ColorfulGalaxy and is sent to the rest of the Shidinn community by e-mail.

Sherman's Zheatum Gallifreyan

Sherman's Zheatum Gallifreyan is much simpler: simply transcribe the Shidinn text to Zheatum, and transcribe the output using Sherman's Gallifreyan rule. Note that letters separated by apostrophe can't be stacked together.

Tardis Console Gallifreyan For Shidinn

This writing system is based on Tardis Console Gallifreyan by Emily.

Consonants

To determine the shape and position of the vowel letter inside a filled circle, refer to the positions in "SH" and "TH" in the picture below.

Some letters are derived from digits, and can thus stack with each other.

A consonant should be stacked with the immediately-following glide or vowel letter IF AND ONLY IF they belong to the same syllable.[需引证] Therefore, in the word , the letter "" can't be stacked with "", while "" should be stacked with "" and "".

Letter Outer curves Inner curves
b Thick circle Thin concentric circle with 1 divot
p Thick circle Thick concentric circle
m Thick regular hexagon, with rays starting from its vertices extending outwards parallel to the radius Thin homothetic hexagon
w Thick circle See picture below
j Invisible circle Thick concentric circle tangent to the edge of the word. There are a series of concentric circles between the two circles.
q Thick circle Thick "three-pointed star shape"
x Thick circle with concentric thin circle close to it Thick concentric circle
y Thick ellipse Hexagon as shown in picture below
n Thick circle Thin circles with tilde overlay, as ñ in the picture below
z Thick ellipse Hexagon as shown in picture below, with rays
Thick circle Thin concentric circle with 3 divots, as shown in "CH"
s Invisible circle Thick circle with 5 divots
r Invisible circle Thick circle with 4 divots
Thick circle Thin circles as shown in "N" in picture below
See NG in picture below
l Thick regular hexagon Thin homothetic hexagon, with rays starting from its vertices extending outwards parallel to the radius
d Thick circle Thin concentric circle with 4 divots
t One thin circle Thick circle tangent to the edge of the word
g Invisible ellipse Thick ellipse. Other details are shown in the picture below.
k Thick regular hexagon Thin homothetic hexagon
h Invisible circle Thick concentric circle close (but not tangent) to the edge of the word. There are a series of concentric circles between the two circles.
4 Circle with 4 dots Filled concentric circle, as in digit 4
5 Circle with 5 dots Filled concentric circle, as in digit 5
v Thick circle See picture below
Circle with 15 dots Filled concentric circle, similar to the digit shapes
7 Circle with 7 dots Filled concentric circle, as in digit 7
B Thick circle, with thin concentric circle located close inside Thick "three-pointed star shape"
c Thick circle Thin concentric circle with 2 divots
f Invisible circle Thick concentric circle. There are a series of concentric circles between the two circles.
Aleph See picture below. The aleph letter is used before a vowel letter that works as a radical.
Vowels and glides

Note that with vowels and glides other than , , , , , , , the shape of the entire "aleph skewer" is changed, following a different rule.

Vowels do not stack with each other unless specified by table below

Letter In stressed syllable In unstressed syllable (with aleph)
u Stacked with next letter, same as otherwise A black dot on each circle
a Large black dot in the center, covering a thick line Large black dot in the center of each circle; line extended in both directions
o Black dot in the center, starting a thick ray Black dot in the center of each circle
e Hollow thin circle inside the inner curve (not centered) Hollow thin circle in each circle (not centered)
E Hollow thin circle between inner and outer curves Thick circle with 14 dots surrounding filled circle, derived from digit "14"
Black dot on inner curve Thick circle with 10 dots surrounding filled circle, derived from digit "10"
"a" and "e" stacked together "a" and "e" stacked together on aleph
Letter for "a" with a small white hole in the center Big thick hollow circle on the tip of the skewer, tangent to a slightly smaller hollow circle, plus a "black dot with a white hole" at the bottom of the skewer
Large black dot on the outermost visible edge of the consonant letter, starting a thick ray that passes the center Four black dots on the skewer, with the third one from the tip biggest.
with another thick line covered by the center dot connected with tilde
Thin circle surrounding black dot on center, covering two thick lines with a ray starting at the bottom of the skewer, simulating a tilde
Large black dot inside the inner curve (not centered), starting two rays simulating the tilde connected with tilde
3 Thin circle surrounding black dot on center, starting two rays simulating the tilde connected with tilde
Large black dot inside the inner curve (not centered) Four black dots on the skewer, with the one on the tip biggest.
Thick circle surrounding black dot between inner and outer curves Two transparent-interior non-touching circles on the skewer, with the one at the tip bigger, plus two extra small dots
i Stacked with next letter, same as otherwise A hollow dot on each circle

Tardis Console Gallifreyan for Zheatum

Tardis Console Gallifreyan for Zheatum is much simpler: simply transcribe the Shidinn text to Zheatum, and transcribe the output using Emily's "Tardis Console Gallifreyan" rule. Note that letters separated by apostrophe can't be stacked together.
